Instant Camera Card  (Thomas Fraps, Helge Thun)

Effect: After a card is selected and signed in some form by a member of the audience, it is buried in the deck. The all-too-
familiar plot of finding this card gets a new twist when the performer says he will discover the card by taking a picture of its mental image while the spectator is thinking of it. For this purpose the cardcase is turned into an improvised instant camera held together by an ordinary rubber band.

The spectator smiles, thinks of her selected card, and the picture is taken. To everybody's disappointment the picture is, unfortunately, blank. Reminding the audience that it takes about three seconds for the picture to develop, the performer directs the attention to the blank-faced card which instantly, visibly develops into the original signed and selected card. The "picture" is given to the spectator as a souvenir while the rest of the audience is still smiling.
